3: Yu-Gi-Oh Duelist of the Roses for the PS2ĭespite this barely being a Yu-Gi-Oh game it is certified classic. Nintendo Wi-fi also meant you could go online and duel your friends, hours wasted at school dueling friends only for you to go home and keep dueling and chatting thanks to the voice chat function this game had. The bottom screen has the classic Yu-Gi-Oh field with the top screen having a cool low angle camera that puts you on the battle map. By far the coolest thing about WC07 is the use of the DS. With 1600 cards there are many options to make a variety of decks and duel against a plethora of AI opponents. Yu-Gi-Oh’s first jump to the Nintendo DS is a slick dueling sim for fans to really sink their teeth into. The montisation leaves alot to be desired, thankfully there are ways to play for free but this require a lot more time to be investedĤ: Yu-Gi-Oh World Championship 2007 for the Nintendo DS With large amounts of content for players to grind through, new set releases and mechanics being released constantly it’s no surprise it’s so popular. With half the deck size, 3 playable zones opposed to 5 and only 4000 life points, this is meant for a quick Duel. The current most popular Yu-Gi-Oh Video Game, Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links is an alternative format based on speed duels. 5: Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links on Mobile and Steam Seriously… someone explain to me what is going on here. Sadly the game’s genres don’t mix too well and the UI can be quite confusing. Play through the story mode or race/duel against 7 AI enemies. A very odd game for sure, but it gets a mention for being so insane and doing what it could with the concept of Riding Duels from Yu-Gi-Oh 5D’s. Honorable mention: Yu-Gi-Oh 5D’s Wheelie Breakers for the WiiĬoming in as an honorbale mention is Yu-Gi-Oh’s own Kart racer TCG. The 23-year-old card game where you summon monsters, activate spells, and lay traps, has also got a number of video game releases over the years. In the West, it’s called the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG and in Japan it’s called the Yu-Gi-Oh OCG. Yu-Gi-Oh is a very successful Trading card game.
